Center of Hope (Haiti), Inc. will accept designated disaster relief funds and assure that 100% of the donations go to disaster relief efforts. You may make your donations as indicated on this page by clicking the "how you can help" box above.

The White House Response
On January 12, 2010, a massive earthquake struck the nation of Haiti, causing catastrophic damage inside and around the capital city of Port-au-Prince. President Obama has promised the people of Haiti that "you will not be forsaken; you will not be forgotten." The United States Government has mobilized resources and manpower to aid in the relief effort. Here are some ways that you can get involved.

Oxfam International
Oxfam teams in Haiti initiating aid delivery

From its Oxford UK warehouse, Oxfam also has up to 10 tons of water, sanitation, health and shelter equipment, valued at around $114,000, that will be flown on a specially-stripped British Airways flight to Santa Domingo at 2pm Saturday UK time. It also has pre-positioned stocks in Panama on stand-by. Oxfam plans to scale-up aid delivery are now being finalized. The destruction continues to severely hamper aid efforts. Seventeen Oxfam International humanitarian experts flew into the Dominican Republic and will arrive in Haiti today. Read more.


Red Cross Continuing to Push Aid to Haiti Amid Difficult Conditions
The aftermath of Tuesday’s earthquake has posed logistical challenges for all humanitarian organizations, including Red Cross responders, who are working around the clock to meet the challenges and ensure aid reaches the survivors. The difficulties include damaged transportation and power systems; an unreliable airport tower, which had led to many flights being diverted; and damaged cranes at the capital city’s port, which is not expected to reopen until January 18. Some roads are also covered with debris, making travel within the capital city difficult. Read more.


AmeriCares Relief Workers Arrive in Port-Au-Prince to Help Haiti
AmeriCares disaster relief experts were among the humanitarian aid workers cleared to land in Port-au-Prince, Haiti yesterday. Our aid workers are coordinating the distribution of the $5 million worth of medical aid we have sent to help Haitian survivors of a catastrophic earthquake. Read more.
